raggaeton and bachata styles - 04/20/11 08:08 AM

I really need these styles badly for my Tyros 2. I can't believe Yamaha hasn't produced these styles as they are very popular on the Latin charts. Maybe there's some third party sytles out there that I haven't found?

Does Korg produce these styles? I know roland has them on the GW8 but I don't like that keyboard at all.

PA2x-PA800 OS version 2.1 have both styles in the USER1, page 1 and 2 .
I think that they are include in http://www.korgpa.com/en/support/bonusware.html in "Styles - vol. 14.zip" group, and describe as " Styles - vol. 14 26 Styles released with Pa800/Pa2X operative system v.2.0 - Pa800 format".

You best bet is to try converted ketron styles for latin. They will have the best latin styles of any keyboard for bachata, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, salsa, etc. Korg latin styles are less to be desired also.

I had the same problem that you have. I owned a Yamaha and had to sell it because the latin styles were not to par. I ended up buying an Ketron Sd5. If you mostly do latin, you will be better served with an SD5, or Audya.

Good luck

Try looking at the Styles Tab at www.psrtutorial.com and I think you'll find what you are looking for.

Thanks guys. I'd love an Audya but I don't how I could ever convince my wife...

I'll have to look into the Ketron convertions for the Tyros. Anyone know where to find those?

Also I didn't see any raggaeton or bachata styles at the PSR site.
