Got To Love It

This is FANTASTIC, Larry...what a gem of a video.

Gotta love that "Leslie" speaker...looks like a squirrel cage over the horn.

The guys in the band I played in called the Leslie, the "Whirly"...that's what the sound-guy had written above the PA channels it's two microphones (one for upper horn, one for lower rotor) were plugged into.

I love the animated characters...the little "band" actually appeared to be playing the music.

Another peculiar thing, was the several effects pedals he was running the instruments through...never seen some guitar players use that many.

A good find, and thanks for sharing it.

Yep, Part 3 and a short part 4 ...I think that may be all.

Some Info on Jerry:

Jerry Sleger, Sturgeon Bay (WI), is a traveling one-man band. His act is unique, to say the least. It's homebuilt, you might say. It's a conglomeration of fiberglass and keyboards and wires and dials and switches. It has 1265 solder connections.
And it's all connected to an accordion.

"It's so hard to explain," said Sleger, when asked to describe his music machine. "I wouldn't even know where to start. Everything you see, I built. The accordion I built, and fiberglassed it, and inside of there I've got four keyboards running into the accordion. The other keyboards I work with my right hand and with foot expressions. There is not another like it, no place."

This is easy to believe. Along with the musical instruments, is a revolving speaker, an organ, Sleger said, and the organ is triggered by the accordion. To add a little visual interest, he added some toys-a dancing hula girl doll, a drum-pounding circus monkey, and a barking dog in the tip box.

Sleger's repertoire is restricted; he knows what he wants to play-big band, old-time music. No rock, no country. AirVenture attendees stop to listen. Some sing, some dance in the street, some point and laugh. Most are appreciative of his talent. It's one of the most familiar, and unmatched, traditions at Oshkosh.

"Oh, the people love it," Sleger said. "When they come in, they hear it way back. They tell me 'Oshkosh wouldn't be the same without it.'"

His wife LaVern sits in a lawn chair nearby. For nineteen years, she's sold his CDs

You gotta give it to this fella...he does his own thing regardless of who approves or not!

Now, that's really cool in my books.

Thanks Larry...this was inspirational, to say the least.

Joe from what I have only seen in demo videos it really is a deep in depth Synth with a fantastic sound. I would say it's a game changer in the Synth world.....with so many multiple engines to use your imagination can go wild in creating your music.....
Could possibly be a great second keyboard to add to an arranger like the Korg pa3x or Tyros4 also...
As a stand alone keyboard for band or studio use it really fits the bill..... I love the pianos OMG!!
More to come once it's released.

Donny, never mind the KRONOS, he could demo the MS range and save some space and power all done in one KB, Leslie and monkey not included on any MS products.

wow, Larry that is just priceless. thank you for putting that up. I am going to send out a link to it here on Synthzone to all my email list members. I am sure many of the musicians on the list will want to come here and see this. maybe some of them might even sign in and stay.
You will recall that it was my email list that built the Technics forum here.
Best to ya,
