Thanks Scott, although I will have to wait for tomorrow...Internet speed has been shaped as we went over D/L limits (son had uTorrent installed, unknown to me!!) and all the upload seeding (other users accessing game and patch data) took nearly 40% of our limit!!

Needless to say it has been deleted, but we are stuck on 56kbps until tomorrow

Tyros 4 is one truly amazing pro keyboard and Martin Harris an equally amazing keyboard artist!

note: Synthzone member Tapas can be spotted standing (in beige jacket) at far left of pics 2 and 3.

It also sort of points out the general lack of interest in arrangers. People would pass by, stop a minute, then go on. People were tapping on drums and playing other keyboards nearby.
Some were chatting with each other and/or texting. A couple were taking videos. Very few were actually paying close attention to the demonstration.

Is there anyone who can capture one of these demos for me? As I explained before I only have 56kbps at the moment (nowhere near enough for streaming) My d/l limit gets restored tomorrow, but byt then I think all the demos will be finished....

I have been watching the demos, Martin Harris KNOWS how to Demo an arranger.....he enjoys it as much as the listener....
You can see that he is in his element.

I also see that our friend Tapas was in the audience too....
I am sure he got the opportunity to talk to Martin Harris.

It's amazing to watch everything happening live from across the country.
I wish Yamaha would introduce their digital trumpet to the US market. I would buy one. I have almost ordered one from Japan a time or two, but haven't yet.

Wow!! the more I listen, the more that Tyros 4 is sounding fantastic!...Yamaha is miles ahead sound & style wise and has pulled away and is sitting pretty now in the #1 Seat in the Arranger KB world & will remain for a very long time. Scott you definitely made the RIGHT choice this time. I cant wait to demo one somewhere soon also ............ enjoy.

Hi Eddie, in addition to the opportunity to 'take as long as you need' to preview and edit what you compose (via preview mode) before you ever hit the send button, you're also given 10 generous minutes more after your initial post to go back and re-edit your posting as you like. Only after 10 minutes, the post becomes permanent, which prevents certain individuals here who've had the history of later going back (10, 20, 60 minutes, or hours and days later ) to conveniently delete, or alter the meaning of their post(s) simply to protect them from possible recrimination to what they had originally posted. To preserve the integrity of our forum, I believe the 10 minute rule must remain. If someone really needs to edit or delete their posting later, they still have the opportunity to email Nigel about it.

Yep I think most people will see their typos within the 10 minute window. If not like Scott said just email me and I will be happy to fix it for you.

I agree that 10 minutes is normally ample, but in the case I quoted, i.e. a typo, it was more than 10 minutes after the send when I noticed it

IMPORTANT NEWS UPDATE !

I just checked the Yamaha's Namm Schedule of Events for today (Sunday, Jan. 16th) and it appears that Martin Harris' live streaming demo at 1:30pm and 4:30pm PST (-8:00 GMT), have 'both' been 'removed' (canceled) from the Scheduled lineup! No idea if this had anything to do with the audio problems they had during Harris' demo's yesterday.

That said, I'd got good news! Tapas has recorded with his Canon M30 HD Vidcam, a Martin Harris Naam demo and sending it to me, so I'll be uploading some/all of it to my YouTube channel in the next few days.The footage also includes some nice 'surprises' but I can't reveal the details yet, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait to watch. I'll be also uploading some exclusive HD vid he shot (including a SZ member 'we know here' playing the Korg Pa3X, & a demo of Kronos too.

Great news Scott please upload the whole thing or maybe 2 or 3 pts for us to enjoy. Did Taps as Martin about the new S series release also?

I also got a little more free time on my hands now as January's my slowest gig month.
