Beginner's keyboard for under $300 - 11/03/10 05:50 PM
Can anyone recommend a good beginner's keyboard for under $300. I'm buying it for a cousin and I need it delivered by this coming Monday, so I'm hoping to get your comments by tomorrow (Thursday 11/4).
It should be a keyboard with decent sound, 61 keys, not too complicated. The kid is 12 years old lives in a non-English-speaking country, so the keyboard should not be too menu-complicated.
THANK YOU!

Do you think the CTK 4000 would do the trick? I just watched a youtube vide of it. Unbelievable what a $150 keyboard does nowadays...

Thank you everyone.
I ended up going with the Casio CTK 5000. It was only $200 including overnight shipping.
From my limited research it seems to me that Casio makes better lower-end keyboards. Also I figured if Yamaha puts crappy drums on the s910, I can't imagine what they've reserved for their PSR line. The drums I heard on the YouTube videos of the Casio sound quite decent.
