Question about Tyros 4 directory structure

I remember on the Tyros 2 there was a limit of 250 files per directory or folder.

Does this limitation still exist in the Tyros 4?

On page 28 of the owner's manual there's a sidenote that says:

The maximum number of files/folders
which can be stored in a folder is 500.

Thanks John and kla4, seems like the thumped it up to 500 from 250 with the T3 upwards.

I have a bunch of un-classified styles I just throw on the hard disk in a folder and I used to get errors when I exceeded the 250 limit.

PS In addition to hard disc and USB Drives there is a Flash Drive called the User drive which is only 6Mb - and there are limitations on that. Here's a copy from the manual:
"In the USER tab display, folder directories
can contain up to four levels. The
maximum total number of files/folders
which can be stored differs depending
on the file size and the length of the file/folder names"

I would not call it a 'limitation' because we are talking about the number of files/folders in a folder. (the total is HUGE!)

I've created one folder called 'STYLES' and in that STYLES folder another 30 folders (ballad, rock, latin... etc), each able to contain a max of 500 styles. (total 30x500 = 15000 )

There is no 'folder depth' limitation, so a couple of million files? .... no problem it would only take a depth of 3
