Korg Yamaha - trade? - 10/24/10 04:16 AM

Hi guys,
I'm missing the Korg sounds and feel,
and would like to trade my Yamaha psr S710 for the korg pa500,
It's worth the same much.
Anyone want to do such a deal?

Shim, What would you want for your S710 without a trade?

Shim,

I received your email regarding the 500 vs 800. I have to say, the 800 is MUCH more advanced than the 500.

1. Deeper processor sounds
2. Color screen
3. HARMONIZER
4. After touch
5. Better build quality
6. Marvelous 'blue' LOL
7. And probably a lot more than I know off the top of my head

I wouldn't waste my money on the 500 if you can get the 800 for a little bit more.

Just my thoughts and good luck

Shim,

I respectfully disagree with Zuki here, unless the difference that you have to pay is really small. After all the street price of the PA-800 is about two and a half times the price of the PA-500. I have had the PA-500 for over six months now and as regards what you get for your bucks I guess it cannot be beaten. Sure I would prefer a PA-800 myself but not for twice as much money. But then I do not put great store by things such as aftertouch, coloured screen, etc.etc. Do realise that though in essence the sound samples are identical, as well as structure and programming of styles, sounds etc. the PA-800 has the substantial added value of being able to load external samples.
Whichever way you go, you can now download my Musical Resources for free from my webpages: http://pasounds.intropagina.nl/
and that goes for all PA owners of course.
Good luck,

The 500 and 800 use different tone generators. Check it out. I could swear I hear a big difference between the two when A/B side by side in store. I just don't believe the 500 has the power (but it could be all my imagination).

There has to a be a big difference between the two, just based on the pricing structure.

You will never need another keyboard with the 800, but the 500 will grow old fast (IMO).

...and I'm glad you did because it's the best board that has come across my path. I get excited to think they'll come up with something better. 3 years and running says it all for me - just ask my wife

Looking who's calling the kettle? 3 years and running was my point to say that I'm satisfied. Think I'll keep my private life private.
