All these midis will take me forever to go through. Folks, I love the 800 and its tremendous feature which allows to 'massage' these midis into a polished mp3. What a joy to trigger the harmonizer, while playing the correct chords. I wish I was young again - not enough time to accomplish everything.

Thx Fran and nice chatting with you too

Atta boy - keep it alive while I'm not here to chime in!
MIDI is a viable entity .... "A" midi is an incomplete thought.

What my elderly and esteemed friends are saying is that the correct terminology is Midi File, a set of instructions that tells a Midi File Player, such as a keyboard or computer, what notes to play and what sounds to use and what tempo is recommended.

It's a totally new ballgame when you tear the midi apart to make it your personalized sequence, along with right hand playing (4 choices), harmonizing and pads. The 800 allows many avenues of playing. I use 2 midis so far, but they sound damn good and I'll probably go more, despite what purists might scoff about....

Jim, you are pulling out all the plugs..
Growth is a great thing, and you are doing it NOW!!..
No doubt you will make some of our friends here a bit flustered....bucking the system that they are comfortable with....The Bose camp, the purist camp....your comments in the last day will stir things a bit more..

The use of sequences, and the ability to edit them with today's gear..is a must in the market today....or the competition will leave you trying to catch up without a means to do so..

Any major decision we do..as in change..will cause a few folks to think of it as a "slap in the face"....we all take things too personally too often...

Make the changes that we think is best for ourselves.....don't worry about our SZ buddies ..they will come around..

Donny likes Yamaha PSR keyboards....Dave likes Bose...I like Roland instead of either of their choices.......we disagree, but know we are all different..and only I can be right..

And no matter how you do it as always the bottom line is .....
"WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE TO THE AUDIENCE" ?.....not to YOU as everyone is partial to themselves
that will always be the deciding factor ALWAYS.

Hey Zuki,

I was going to buy these midi's but too late.
Do you have any classic rock midi's you will not be using ? Or send me a list of what you will not use and maybe we can strike a deal !
