psr-3000 maximum capacity for usb key ?

what's the maximum capacity I can use? bought a 4 gb Kingston usb key, looks like the PSR can't use it. It works on my PC but not on the PSR

I'd be shocked if it can't read a 4GB Stick.
Are you sure there are no 3U partitions on the stick ?

This might very likely apply to your Yamaha too.

If you have not updated the OS to the latest version, the max is about 1-gig. Once updated, the PSR-3000 will pretty much read any size.

I'm sure you're allowed 99 files with 256 songs per file

On the PSR-3000 the root directory permits 70 files or folders, however, you can place folders within folders, all of which can contain up to 190 files or folders.

thanks, I'll investigate how to update the PSR3000. Seemed sort of weird to me as well that it could not read the 4 gb, but then again it's no PC. I'll try the update
