Is the SD2 seperate from the software? or is it together? Is there anything to offer for the Oriental player?

1) You have to get a Ketron SD2 separately.

2) With vArranger, For the Oriental player :
- You can change easily the Arabic Scale.
- You can edit your SD2 sounds to get some more arabic sounds.
- Some oriental preset will be avaible soon.
- You can load any of the Ketron oriental styles (Vega...)
The only problem will be the oriental percs, but I am also thinking about it. I have ideas.

The updates are free.

I just wanted to add that I have Dan's software and find it incredible. The features are many, extremely intuitive, and Dan is always right there to help and add features used by musicians, because he is one.
