Deebach Instruments developing a new instrument - 03/29/10 06:05 AM

Message from Deebach Instruments:

"Please be informed that we are not a Softwareseller. We are designing, developing and building individual Instruments.

At the moment we are developing a new Instrument on PC basis with a big 20/22 ‘ Touch Screen Monitor. This instrument will be build as a Series Model but takes some more weeks to be finished.

Please let us know if such an Instrument can find as well you interest or if you are interested in an individual designed Model.

To sell only our Software is not our interest and we can not help you in this point.

Thank you and cheers

Deebach Instruments

Frank Gabriel"

I know of the Deebach Xanadu organ but I wonder if this has something to do with Lionstracs. Any idea?

They might be developing their own version of Mediastation/open labs..

If its not based on Mediastations software, many of which is produced under the open source of Linux, they are 5 years behind on developing the instrument compared to Lionstracs and open labs.

You just can't create an ninstrument by adding a few software compontents a PC and a masterkeyboard intoo one box..

WE have learned from DOm that it takes years to get it tuned and programmed as one instrument.

Next to that, Deebach's pricing id beyound everything that most of us would want to pay for a customised instrument.

Ok, it's nothing to do with Liontracs. All sounds are created by Deebach.

As quoted by Deebach:

"The new Deebach Instrument will be based on an all in one Multi Touch PC with 4 GB Ram and 750 GB HD. The operation shall be controlled via the touch screen only (if possible)"

"what I can tell you at the moment is that the new instrument is totaly developed by Deebach and has nothing to do with Lionstracs. We are doing that because we are not so happy with the functions of the Lionstracs Instruments and it seems that Lionstracs is not willing to finish their development at the moment."

I don't quite get this company.
From what research I've done on them they seem to just take exsisting products and put them into big ass Organ boxes.

What's so good about that ?

That's like me saying I built a new keyboard just by opening the lid on my OASYS flight case and leaving the keyboard in the box.

Guess we will have to wait to see. It's not like they have explained a single thing yet.

es wollte eine kooperation seitens lionstracs und deebach zustande kommen. dieses dürfte wieder zerbrochen sein, drum auch keine ausstellung auf der musikmesse frankfurt.

Says here that the cooperation between Deebach and Lionstracs may have come to an end.

The quotes in my previous posts are by Deebach.

Sure just like at their Xanadu 777 keyboard.
It's just a Pa2X stuffed into an Organ Box.

Well, you must admit they added some of their own samples to the PA2X sample memmory.

(And the box looked really nice, untill you noticed the price of their Box)

True, but look at it this way because they could get in trouble here.

I sell quite a large selection of Libraries for the Pa2X myself but I don't tell people that they have to call their keyboard an IA-Studio X2 after they load one of my sound libraries as it's a normal function of the keyboard to be able to do that.

Putting a KORG Pa2X into a box doesn't give them the right to re-badge a KORG product either with their name. Quite a dangerous thing to do actually. KORG won't like that at all.

There's nothing wrong with their idea, but it should be sold as an add on kit for exsisting products, or offer their services under customisation of existing products. Re-bagging someone else product won't go down well at all and is likley totally illegal.

James.

Well... add on packages don't sell for a lot..

But rebranding an instrument and then selling it for 5 times the money of the orriginal instrument makes you a rich man

Safe to say that we both can advice anyone to be very carefull when dealing with these people.
