i wish ALL manufacturers reduced MAP, especially KETRON (AUDYA), which has one of the highest of all...

I bought it in 2008 at Us$1490 in my country (Argentina) and they lowered the price during 2009 at Us$1295, something not very common around here where keyboards almost duplicate their regular prices in USA and always keep raising. Bravo Korg!!

And they reduced the map on the PA500oriental for those who want a great middle eastern keyboard with dedicated oriental styles down from $1699 to $1299. The oriental version includes quarter tone tuning buttons on the left side of the keyboard and specially sampled middle eastern instruments and drum kits. All the stock voices and styles are still in this model.

I just received the January 14, 2010 price list from Korg and only the PA500 will have a reduction. Korg did this so that their PA500 and PA500oriental will line up exactly at Yamaha prices for the PSRS710 ($1099) and PSR700oriental ($1299.00). It makes sense because these are the closest models to each other from the two manufactures.

You gotta love the KORG way of doing business...they go the extra mile to win and keep their customers. Last summer when I purchased my 500, my price was much less than $1499, and then Korg also gave me a $300 rebate, which put the final price comfortably below $1000. For me, it was the best price of any arranger I ever purchased - and this board is fantastic. So impressed was I that we purchased a 588 for our church a month later, and it's working out superbly for us.

Besides Sampling (40MB) and some Loops in reality does WAAAYYYY more then Audya!
For only 1000$...1/5 of the price.
