What are Ketron up to now???

They haven't got the original thing right yet and they messing with something else, where are the straps to get it over your shoulder? God Dam it they are stupid!

Yes I did but it open season now on Ketron, there are so many people having a go, even people close to Ketron are seeing the funny side of things, not me I am still smarting from the £4200.00 they have of mine!

You'll never know, this is something Ketron have done with other models, so why not Audya.
Myself I think I would prefer a module connected via midi to a real Accordeon.

This may very well be a photoshop representation, but the product and concept is real. It is a midi controller that fits over most arranger keyboards, and is made or at least offered by Chromaticover, a Belgian Company ... you simply lay it on the keyboard, plug into the 'midi in' and away you go ... http://chromaticover.com/

There's the word "Fake" on the left of the picture and what's so stupid about it, Ketron makes cromatic boards, X, XD & SD all have one in there series. There nothing stupid about it, thers's accually a good size market for it in europe this type of keyboard. Maybe it not so popular in the old UK, but from portugal to the Italy they sell pretty well.

This is not fake, Ketron has this for LOOONNGGG time n all their synths,
it is a Chromatic version, a lot of Balkan players use it.
It can be also Custom done, i already know a person with Audya like this.

This idea is not new. Master Production has been making a controller like this since at least 2006:

Although some of your posts are interesting, I find some of your language offensive. Would you please refrain from using the Lord's name in vain? The Bible says "God will not hold them guiltless who use His name in vain. I see that there are several other members who play praise and worship in their churches. So, I'm sure that I'm not the only one offended. There are many other ways to make your points without lowering the level of these posts by blaspheming the Lord. Thanks for your co-operation.

I made no efforts to judge anyone. I simply made a request from which Tony was kind enough to respond to in a very gracious manner. I am grateful that he chose to respond in the manner that he did. I would welcome any comments from the moderator. I don’t believe blasphemy or any kind of guttural language is appropriate in this forum or that it could add anything of value to the normal intelligent and enlightening opinions of the majority of respondents.

I understand what you are saying, at 66 next personally I am not offended or surprised what anyone says nowadays to me ,at me or to others, I do however respect what others perceive I say, that’s why we need to put **** in between letters that would offend, however I would never think of putting G*D for God, I would not consider it necessary. What I typed offended and in respect I will not do it again. I know not of any parallel that I could think to explain this one away, so Diki let this one go now not for you but for me and the complainant please. I am sure there are lines in the bible that would counterclaim what I did because that's what the bibles all about, but please let it stop here, for me!

My only comment would be that, if this self appointed moderator wants to perform his task, he needs to do it constantly and consistently for it to not appear biased. And, I must confess, I haven't seen this in any fashion so far.

Let me also add, I'm sorry, but haven't we seen enough evidence of what life on this planet can get like when religious fundamentalists take control to not tolerate it when we see it happen..?

Can't think of anything else that would cause thousands of people to want to riot and kill over some innocuous CARTOON published in some obscure newspaper.......and that's just a mild example.

Tony, I understand your frustration with Ketron. As a long time player of the brand, I have issues with them, too. Mine are related to business ethics issues, and most people here know what they are.

The issue is direct sales to end users, intentionally bypassing established distribution...even making requests that dealers not be told of the "deal". That's an absolute "no no" in the distribution business. Ted knows about it. I called him. George knows about it, as do other current and former dealers and some long-time members here. They also know the individual involved and of other incidences, and have registered their concerns as I did.

That is so wrong in the distribution business that I basically paid more "used" than the "direct" price offered for my SD-5 and Midjay, and went to another manufacturer for two house pianos I was asked to procure.

I'm a big fan of the line, but am NOT a customer, given this situation.

I work with manufacturers around the world setting up channels of distribution, establishing territories, setting policies concerning sales credit for leads at trade shows, etc. As far as business ethics go, in most industries, even one incident like this would result in lines being dropped and staff members involved dismissed.

I totally agree, why didn't all the distributors drop Ketron , this is a hanging offence surely.

Captain Russ is talking about CMC's business practices, Ketron's USA distributor.

Did Ketron drop CMC the SECOND they knew about it? If not, this is squarely on Ketron, not its' affiliates...

We can't know for sure that they read this forum everyday, every month or even every year. I know something happened (bits and pieces) but I still don't know what exactly happen. I not sure if AJ even knows what exactly happened.

I'm not defending CMC, I really miss Bell Duvox, Aldo and Lou. They were very upstanding and helpful group of people. They had a showroom and repair center up in Nyack, NY. The customer can first. I have to say when the both retired and sold the business, I believe it hurt Ketron in the states.

If dealers really want to ketron to hear them about CMC pratices, they should be sending letters to Sandro directly in Italy.

This was going on before CMC. Same person involved.

I can't really say for sure but Lou and Aldo were always good to me with keyboard repairs, help, etc.

I can't speak ill of them.

I, too had a good relationship with Lou and crew!
