Yamaha PSR-S910 Question - 11/04/09 02:33 PM

I had posted these questions on anther thread but it was missed, so here goes again.

My local GC does not have one and will not get unless its a special order, (I hate GC)and the Sam Ash is waiting to sell the s900 they have on the floor before they get one in. I have a s900 which a love very much but just reading through the spec. I 'm not convinced yet; maybe if I get my hands on one, It might just blow me away. (not sure yet) But I can't stop to thinking if the upgrade really worth it?

Is the mp3 player in the s910 have a playlist feature which songs play without stopping?

Are there new drum sets or just tweaked s900 drums, especially for the s910?

What other features on the s910 that is not on the s900 that really stands out?

I know there are more styles, but majority is Middle Eastern and/or Asian?

On the new hi-res display, what is the maximum number of text characters in can display horizontally & vertically? (The more the better so i can minimize scrolling during live play)

Has the vocal harmonizer gotten better?

Thanks folks,
Jimmy

The Vocal Harmonizer is unchanged, as far as I know, but Dan Rymut has done some exceptionally fine work with it.

You can find his tips here:

Dan has done more to tame the wily and frustrating Vocal Harmonizer than anyone I know...he's a wizard.

I have followed the directions Dan put together, they are excellent. Best I've heard the on board vocalizer sound using Dan's method.
