Roland E-80 question for owners.. - 07/28/09 08:01 AM

Bill (Bebop), or other E-80 owners with the version 2 upgrade....What is the limit of MP3's that the E-80 can recognize?

As an example the Sonic Cell max is 399..

The Juno Stage is 999...

Also , if the MP3 count is only limited to the size of the memory media..Can you use a 4 or 8 gig media...I am not sure the limit on the E-80..?
Another question, can the MP3's be indexed as we do with the SMF's, styles, and UPG's?

I need to know before I buy an E-80..and than resale it because I would be disappointed..

the limit of MP3 files is either of or both the available internal memory and the Compact Flash card.
You can use a Compact flash card up to 4 gig but will need an adapter to go along with it.
You can create several playlists and indext them.
Hope this helps.
You also get 15 new Gold Styles from Roland too. The V2 update is FREE
Best regards,
Bill

When did it become free, Bebop? I thought the V2 was a paid upgrade (seeing as how you get all those nice Gold styles with it)...???

I don't remember getting a bill for it. I have to dig and see. I let you know Fran. I am sure I saved it so should be able to get it to you somehow.

Fran,
I did some research and find I bought it from roland USA and paid 29.95 for it. It came on a cd which I haven't located yet but I can't email a cd to you and don't know if it is for this serial number keyboard or not.
I sent you copies of all my email correspondence and the website where you can order it.
Let me know what else you need.
Bill
