Well I'm falling asleep - 07/05/09 05:01 PM

Gee let's see, Gary never posts here anymore, Scott Yee is gone, and now my friend Donny is gone, I guess I'll take a long nap. Not much going on here anymore.

There's plenty going on here, you just have to be open to it...

Hello Jose,

Do you think David Bowie's, Space Oddity was a better "astronaut" song than Elton John's, Rocket Man?

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Memories...
Like the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? could we?
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
Whats too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So its the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were...
The way we were...

Aaaaahhhhh, happy days

Diki, great choice of songs. Some of the best lyrics ever by Marilyn and Alan Bergman, and I've actually sung that song on stage with Marvin Hamlisch, the composer.

Have a nice day,

No, and now I'm giving away my age. He was from the late 50's and early 60's and his name was Bill Dana. He appeared many times on the Ed Sullivan show. Of course, I was in diapers.

Joe, you should never use the word "job" in the same sentence with the word "Fran"...they just don't seem to be related.

Something like "Ian" and "work".

Ian the Indolent

PS...I remember Bill (I want my crayons!) Dana very well...thanks for the jolt.

Yo JOSE,
coma sta,
I once did a floor show with Bill Danna at the Batchelors Club in McKeesport, PA a night club on the Mongohalia River.
He was really a funny guy.
We stayed there over night in my friends boat and the next day I played a good part of the afternoon for a gal named Lulu who was a great singer. she was on Buck Owens TV program, I forgot the name and was there visiting her sister. That was her home town.
She was a big lady with a big voice.
the piano there was terrible and after two days I had bandages on all my fingers when we went back down the river to my motel that my friend the boat owner's family owned.
Good old Days, about 1961 or 2
