Do we have any software developers here?

Do we have any software developers here? - 06/11/09 03:54 PM

Given it's disappearance from Roland, and no sign it is coming back, perhaps it is time I tried to get a software solution to the lack of a Chord Sequencer on my G70 (and all Roland's, and anything else that wants one)...

I am looking for someone that can write a fairly simple computer MIDI program. Essentially, something that can take the NTA channel off the arranger's MIDI output, sync to the arranger's clock, and then record that NTA channel in realtime, and start to play it back into the arranger as a loop when it gets a command (maybe hitting the space bar, something like that).

The thing is, this wouldn't just work with Roland's, but ought to work with ANY arranger that transmits and receives it's NTA (note to arranger) via MIDI. So I could see a LOT more demand for it than just me (and others that remember the Roland Chord Sequencer fondly), enough to make the work worth while, I would hope!

Any interested programmers out there, feel free to email me and let's talk about how this could be done...

Hi Diki,
have you ever checked out some of Jos's software. He has othe stuff other than OMB
Maybe something he has written could be adapted somehow??

i notice he's got a new heading
Tailor Made software
http://www.1manband.nl/

In the past I've used his Busker program & his chord sequencer program.
Unfotunately not quite what you're after. http://www.1manband.nl/chordplayer/index.htm

best wishes
Rikki
