A couple of Audya Demos

A couple of Audya Demos - 05/16/09 05:31 AM

Just a couple of Audya demos I made showing examples of how this amazing board sounds out of the box.

The sound quality is not the best though as I've used the in build microphone of the camera.

Impuls I have to agree with you on this demo.........a simple inexpensive stereo cable Kb to Camera would have solved the problem a bit..

Hi Morten

Nice demo played "as is". Keep 'em coming during test out the styles and sounds.
And yes, an audio cable connected to the cam would do miracles I guess

Also tell us what there is to justify the high priceevel when you're more into
the deep of the material.

Cheers

Not all camcorders (in fact, only a few of them) have audio in jacks...

Has everyone heard the new SA2 Clarinet voice from the T3? I would imagine most have... IMO, that completely embarrasses the Ketron's clarinet for realism and playability. Oh, and yes, at over $1500 less in price.

You know, there's been an almost total lack of much T3 user music (I still hate calling them demos - unless you ARE a 'demonstrator' ) lately, but I am sure that if more were being posted, the Audya wouldn't be faring quite so well in comparison. Go to this page http://music-tyros.com/en/audio/index.html and play the clarinet and jazz demos. Until the Audya can come up with lead voices of this quality, I am still unconvinced that that price premium is worth it...

Hi guys, thanks for your comments.

I agree, the sound quality does not do justice to the Audya. But as Dikki mentions not all camcorders have audio in jacks, including mine
I will post some more EXAMPLES at my earliest inconvenience and record the sound using the in build HD recorder and sync the audio with the video instead.
The T3 clarinet does sound much better, in fact most of the solo instruments do sound better than the ones in the Audya, how ever I prefer the styles of the Audya and I don't feel much has changed form T2 to T3 in this area, it's basically the same reworked styles.

Yeah, when it comes to the "on board" styles, Ketron sure fit the Scandinavian market, as
well as manage to make it sound very live. SD1 not only sounds like it's a live band playing
but also like it's the very same band playing during the session.
Take it out to the dancefloor arrangements, and you don't need much addons (if any at all)
to make people wanna dance! Your demos shows that Ketron carry on do it that way.
Hopefully Ketron reworked the OS to be more userfriendy than the SD way of do things....
Anyway, G-70 are not bad "as it is" either, and if put some MidiSpot styles into other brands
like i.e. the Tyros, I'm sure it get the feet tap and wanna dance as well.

Cheers and Happy Playing.
