Does anyone have S900 instrument definition - 04/10/09 06:51 AM

With drums mapped? The one that's widely available does not have many of the drum kits mapped. It is very tedious to map them. I've mapped a few. If no one else has done it, I will finish and post my results on the web.

If you are talking about Sonar / Cakewakj instrument files I've got my own PSR3000 version with the following drumkits in it:

Y3k SFX Kit 1
Y3k Standard Kit 1
Y3k SFX Kit 2
Y3k Standard Kit 2
Y3k Hit Kit
Y3k Room Kit
Y3k Rock Kit
Y3k Electro Kit
Y3k Analog Kit
Y3k Dance Kit
Y3k Jazz Kit
Y3k Arabic Kit
Y3k Cuban Kit
Y3k Brush Kit
Y3k Pop Latin Kit
Y3k Symphonic Kit
Y3k Studio Kit

I could e-mail you this file if it would help, or if you like I'll have a shot at the s900 definitions as a bit of mental exercise!

John

Looking at my file I notice that I've not done the GM2 drumkit maps. Anyone know if the sounds available contain anything not present in the XG drumkits?

Captains log supplemental: the 3k data list gives the patch numbers of the GM2 drumkit but not the drum map; does this mean they are the same as the XG drumkits of the same/similar names?

Hi,
the GM2 kits differ slightly to the XG Kits.
For instance , some of the notes below bassdrum differ.

If you use a GM2 Drumkit as melody part,
you can play thru & listen.

Maybe try getting hold of a GM2 drum map.

I used to use the GM Kits for some of the styles I converted manually.

best wishes
Rikki

I have the PSR-S900 instrument definition. The problem was that many of the drum voices are not mapped. My problem is solved, because I am using the T2 instrument definition for the drum voices. Whoever did the T2, took the time to map all of the drums.
