Finally bought my 37-note MID Controller - 04/07/09 02:52 PM
I have wanted a compact MIDI controller for years. I could never decide on which one I wanted, so I tried a few, but returned them all. I've looked at this controller for over ten years, so it's not cutting edge. But it has everything I need and want, especially its own sound source and speakers.
What is it, you ask? It's a Yamaha CBX-K1XG mini-37 keyboard synth and MIDI controller. It weighs 3.3 lbs and sits right next to my laptop or on my lap. I can take it anywhere and don't even need headphones or an amp. I passed this thing up dozens of time for $300-500. I bought this time for $80. Can't go wrong on this one. If I drop it, break it and throw it away in a year it was completely a great buy. I am so happy with myself today.
