PSR-S550 Mixer Question...??? - 03/16/09 01:57 PM

Anyone here got any time invested with the PSR S-550? I got asked a question today about the keyboard and couldn't give a difinitive answer to the person.

The S-550 does have a mixer function now.., but do those mixer features apply to user songs and can those edits be saved? I couldn't answer this question for the guy.., I do know it has a mixer, but don't know if it applies to user songs and if it can save those edits.

Hell with my history on this end of the PSR range you'd think I'd have an S-550 by now huh Considering I owned the PSR-540 and the PSR-550....
Thanks

If it can't do edits in the arranger itself, squeak, you can be assured that there is some software out there that will do it...

Try PSRWorld for those kinds of softwares...

just checked out the S550B and found that I can adjust the volume, panning and reverb for each of the 16 song tracks, but I don't see if I can save these settings. The manual is not clear and I don't have time right now to test it.

Assuming it's similar to the PSR3000 you can adjust this lot in the Digital Recorder - Song Creator for each track.

However, if the question is "can I twiddle the settings whilst the song is playing and save all the adjustments that were made in real time" I don't think this is possible, but I could be wrong, you need a proper 550 user to answer that one.

the 550 is not similar to the 3000 or 900 interface. It's similar to the PSR413 or the DGX635 which neither has any ability to individually adjust volumes per track. However, this limited amount of mixer edits is for real time control, the best I've been able to figure out.
