Hi Neilshs....

If I'm being honest when listening to this song...

Very well played good job, overall couldn't tell the difference between a T2 or T3 sound wise..I loved the Piano..Trumpet was soft in the background more Flugel sounding to me but fit in the groove...& finally I just can't get passed the same compressed sounding Yamaha Drums which I cant believe they didn't improve at all on T3.......as a G70 player also what are your assessments of the differences in the drums of both units?
Neilshs these are only my opinions...
I do appreciate your posting your work here as your playing as always is superb & very enjoyable.

Thank You

Hi Donny

The Drums are improved and so has the sound. The sound has become more dynamic.

In this demo you can hear the difference. First you will hear the T2 with the G-70 piano as solovoice and second the T3. It's the same user-program im using for both recordings.

Niels.....yes I hear difference in the two now in this demo.......I also love the warmness of the G70 piano also. This is what we should be doing here on SZ so everyone can understand and learn from our discussions & demos instead of mine is better then yours all the time. Watching the Bartmann demo the T3 wont make anyone play like him each one of us has to be the player using our own skilles.
You have the best of both worlds with the G70 & t3 & I hope to hear more from you in the near future.

Thank you for explaining and taking the time to demonstrate it for us.

regards,

Kick and snare stick were much improved, but the hi-hats still have that almost 'brushed' quality I've always disliked. Not enough definition to me...

It sounds as if effects and EQ are almost the primary differences between the two, but the drum samples help.

How many new kits with new sounds did Yamaha give you?

THAT'S IS EXACTLY WHY I BOUGHT A T3 and am excited about it.

I defy anyone in the general public to tell me that was done on a small 61 key Yamaha keyboard perhaps in someones bedroom.....

Thank you for a great arrangement and demo.

Did you say the beginning piano was G70? I like the 1st piano the best - crisp and sounds like a baby grand - awesome.

Yes you can definately hear the difference. I am just not convinced its another £3000 worth of difference.
