"Poverty" is a good lead in, or follow up to this song.

"Poverty" is another score for "Once upon a time in America" The score consisted of 4 short primary pieces-the main theme, deborah, poverty, a pan flute piece called childhood or something, and a few secondary pieces like speakeasy, and yesterday. It was a shame that this score was never even nominated for an academy award since it was so good, and even considered another character of the film by the director.
