It may be a good idea for some people in this forum to keep in mind that not all members have English as a native tongue. It might be a good idea to keep that in mind if you think someone had a bad choice of words. It may be a good idea to take into consideration that not all of us can express themselves in English the way you would do yourself. My "tone of voice" is for a great part defined by the knowledge I have of the language. Sometimes that's too formal, sometimes too 'direct', I may even get it "just right" every now and then.
Just like I don't expect foreigners to speak Dutch in all its nuances fluently, I'd like to be "cut the same slack" here as a non-English forum member.
Written language is "dangerous" enough already, allowing for mis-interpretation of words, meanings... if you add "lost in translation"-meanings to that, you get misunderstood quite easily.
but you could've basically expressed exactly the thoughts in a slightly nicer way.
