Hey Nigel..? - 09/19/08 05:22 AM

Nigel.., I wanted to ask you something.. (this question I guess goes with your work)

Have you seen the new Korg DS-10 synth that was released for the Nintendo DS? What do you think of this? I'm buying one when they're released here in the US considering this is a little pocket synth that has some cool analogue emulation for $40.00 how can ya go wrong with it I've seen some amazing demos of this on YouTube.

Looks like a neat time killer. It will be fun to fool with when it gets released.

Yes..., it will def be something fun to doodle with. However, some people on YouTube have ripped out some amazing work with the DS-10

I haven't actually seen it ( or heard it ) yet but I've heard good things about it. You can't beat getting an emulation of the Korg MS-10 for $40 that you can fit in your pocket. Although I have only got a Sony PSP handheld I really am tempted to get a Nintendo DS just to run this app.

Nigel.., everyone I've talked to on YouTube absolutely love the DS-10... I'm physched about getting this thing, but from what I can tell the US release isn't until next month.

**on a side note.., the PSP is quite nice. I got one myself (PSP-2000 Model). The wife got me the Dexter PSP bundle pack for my B-Day last year.. Came with Silver PSP, Movie, 1 gig card, ect. There's supposed to be a newer model coming out soon**

Going from the PSP-2000 (current model) to the 3000 is like going form the PSR-2000 to the 2100 in the arranger community It's just not worth the extra money. The screen on the current model is very nice. I swear the PSP2000 has better pic quality than the TV's in my home. Movies are amazing on this thing

Yes the PSP has a great little display. I have had a couple of them for a few years now. Only really got 2 to play games together using the wireless connection which can be a lot of fun.

If you have DVD decrypting software you can put movies from DVDs onto your card as well. I now have 4GB cards on my PSPs but you can can get a full movie to compress down to well under 1GB. It really is a nicer screen to watch movies on than an iPod Video.

Do you go online with yours Nigel? I go on every so often to play Medal Of Honor "Heros" It's pretty neat to be able to play all those different battle games with people from every corner.

What's amazing is how the PSP is set up for online use for the internet too. I often use it to surf the net..., check the SynthZone with it..., I use it for MP3's videos, and many who never used it before don't know that the PSP now supports SKYPE. It even has it's own internet radio site.

Very cool little gadget indeed....
