button problems

button problems - 08/20/08 12:03 PM

I know most of you here don’t keep keyboards long enough to have this problem, but my buttons are starting to act up. Sometimes they won’t change the mode of the keyboard or the transpose button won’t work etc. Is it possible that a TV technician can take this Korg i30 apart and clean or replace some of the switches or fix whatever the problem is?

Man I dislocated my elbow June 2 even if there was brickwork I’d be handicapped in what I can do. I can’t spend $2300 for a PA800 and I don’t really want the hassle of learning a new system again. The PA800 is a lot different than the Korgi30 to me. I’ve had a hard enough time with the i30.
Any help will be appreciated.

Boo, take the i30 to an authorized Korg repair guy..They can still get parts..and they should know what they are doing...maybe a $75 repair...maybe just cleaning..

Boo,

Almost anyone with even a small amount of experience can change those switches if they have the parts.

But there's the rub... How many TV repairmen have worked on an arranger?

Thanks for the help. There's a local fellow that works on Korg. He's just finished soldering the input jacks on the i30 I just got off of ebay a few months ago. He's now trying to get the HD working that he installed also.
