Dreamer needs our help !!!

have not known Andrea ( Dreamer ) for a long time but in the short time that some of us have got to know "Andrea", he does come across as a very humble man who is not out for accolades or praise...He has been really quiet here at CSS lately so I sent him an email out of concern...Here is his response.

"Hi Ron,
thank you for your concern and also your kind letter.
I am having indeed some health issues and in fact have spent the whole month of July in hospital; I hope to solve these problems, but to do this I have to undergo a complex surgical intervention, that should (hopefully) take place within the end of this year.
In the meanwhile, I will try to take part to the Forum activities as far as I can.
Once again, thank you for your letter, that really means a lot to me.

Ron, thank you SO much for bringing this to our attention ...
I had the honor and privilege of meeting Andrea when Lydia and I went to Italy in 2006 ... He graciously took us, and my sister in law and brother in law around Rome at night, saying "If you haven't seen Rome at night, then you haven't seen Rome' ...
He is a true gentle-man in EVERY sense of the word ...
Our prayers will be with him, daily ...

I'm sorry to hear that about Andrea. He has posted recently here at SZ and I'm glad he is able to participate here when he can.

God speed Andrea! I hope your upcoming surgery is successful and in the mean time we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Andrea, I wish you the best, sorry to hear news of your medical problem. Thank you for your support late last year and earlier this year during my pre an post surgery for prostrate cancer. My prayers are with you.

thank you Ron for the heads up about Dreamer.
He has long been a favorite person of ours every since he visited our home a few years back and played all my keyboards and sang pretty songs for my wife Jann.
We both will be praying for his full recovery of any and all medical problems.
I am sure that Because Andrea will be closely attuned to what his Doctors are doing with and for him that he will be stronger when this medical work is completed.

That said, I continue to cherish the wonderful time we shared discussing & making music together when he visited me in Berkeley, California for 3 weeks, back in 2002. Dear friends,
thank you for your words, that really mean a lot to me.
First of all, let me say that when I replied to Ron's private message I had no idea that he would disclose my reply here and on Create Song Styles as well; anyway, I know that he is a man of good heart and was animated by the best intentions, doing so.
My philosophy is indeed rather simple: each one has a burden to carry in life, small or large, sooner or later, and to complain is useless and futile. The best thing we can do is to sum up our forces and go on till everything is over, but maybe I am wrong and have something to learn on this subject.

I have been really touched by the words that some of you have written in this thread and it's true that real friends show up in times of need, and a word that comes from the heart can really do wonders and warm up the person to whom was addressed.

To end this post on a light note, the good thing about my condition is that I have stopped working since the month of May and this means that I have more time to play music, but the problem is the lack of inspiration I seem to experience most of the time.
Anyway, thank you again for your words; I will keep reading the Forum and also try to take part to its activities, even if right now my priorities have changed quite a bit.

It's really weird and at the same time interesting to see how the lack of physical energy affects a thing like playing music, that is not tiring in itself (at least at the body level), but requires indeed a lot of mental concentration.
