Style Demo for future reference
If you look at the end of the link (If it is something that I have uploaded) then I always add what it is at the end.

Once you upgrade to OAS 7 there is no going back due to the changes in the sound engine. (All the previous OAS sounds have to be converted to work in OAS 7)
I have therefore decided to put together a few demos to act as a future reference, so as to allow direct comparisons.
All existing sounds in OAS 6 have been reworked to take advantage of the OAS 7 sound engine, as well as a further new 300 sounds have been added.
In addition more styles have also been added, as well some reworking of the existing styles to take advantage of the new sound engine.
When I have OAS 7 installed I will re-record the demos so as to allow a direct comparison, which is why I said the demos are for future reference.
The styles in the demo are standard Factory styles so as to make the comparison easier.
I will be adding further demos over the next couple of weeks. (Not just styles though)
Regards
Bill

Still some more demos to add, (Got to record them and convert to MP3 yet) however feel free to comment on the existing post, as when I post the OAS 7 versions (Plus those that are just not available for OAS 6) it will be interesting to see how others relate to the changes. (And whether it’s as you expected or not)
In addition as I am just a home player (With limited time) any tips on improving the recordings would be appreciated. (All sounds are recorded direct to the hard drive of the Abacus, before being transferred to the computer for conversion and posting)

One of the most difficult problems when upgrading or changing a keyboard are User styles, which as the manufacture has no knowledge of them, they cannot modify them to suit the new system.
The following styles are 3rd party styles, and it should be very interesting to see how they come out after the upgrade.

If I were you Bill, I'd wait till after the upgrade.
Do some recordings now, save them.
Upgrade and make new recordings.
Then join the two files e.g 60 sec 'old' and 60 secs 'new' in one audio file. (total of 120 secs)

Just curious, but isn't this something that Wersi should have done on their website? I know that on the T2 website, there are many demos that start out with the T1 version, then changes to the T2 sound or style. It seems a no-brainer if you are trying to get players to buy something...

Re: For the Future - 08/10/08 06:48 AM
This should be interesting as the following styles were produced for Wersi USA in about 2001 for OAS 3/4, (Some of you may have seen some of them posted in a thread that has now disappeared) and were converted and incorporated into the factory styles from OAS 5, (All styles created for OAS versions before OAS 5 have to be converted onboard to allow them to work with OAS 5 and above) however as Wersi did not have the rights to these styles they were not modified to take advantage of the upgrade, and so use the standard GM settings.
I have included them just to see how OAS 7 handles them. (Should be interesting)

Due to limited time available I record them and post them when I can.
