Donny,
Did you get anything on the new SD4 sound module?
If so, does it look better than the SD2?
Thanks,
Lee

Leeboy....yes this is what it says in the flyer about the SD4....

"So small yet so powerful take all the world renown Ketron sounds with you in a pocket sized sound engine."
It looks like the SD2 but a bit smaller.

You got mail

I hope I am wrong, but from the specs, it looks like an updated SD1, and certainly Not the next generation of Arrangers that we were promised.
Fingers crossed

From some discussions in Korg Forums it looks like this will be a very, very expensive board.

Thank you Tommy. Audya is priced there 1,000 Euro / 35% more than the Pa2X.

Well, since one of our new members still works on development of the sounds and/or styles for Audya, I doubt it will be ready for shipping before and of the year. Or maybe they are planing to sell unfinished product (good old Microsoft tactic). :-)

Unfortunately, it will sure be dream machine for most of the potential users, at least by sky-high price. But anyway, Ketrons where never famous for low price.

Re: AUDYA could be here sooner then we think..... - 06/17/08 01:52 PM

Well, it seems to be pretty full featured if nothing else.

So the going price is gonna be roughly $5,200.00 + tax which totals about $5,600.00 out the door if you live in California U.S.A. And that is also if the Korg forum is accurate about the price i.e. 35% higher in price than a Pa2xPRO.

I wonder if they'll have an introductory price offer for the first 30 days etc., that it becomes available to the public. You know, the usual 2 Grand or so off would be sufficient.

They are marketing it to the wealthy that's for sure. Oil Sheiks in Arabia might even balk at that price though. Well, look at it this way.. People are paying for the R&D on this puppy for the last 3 or 4 years of its developmental stages. Apparently it has taken 4 or so years of meddling to get the job done and that's "IF" it IS done! - AND we see it on store shelves by NEXT month or sooner. OTOH, we may not see the Audya in stores until Ketron has at least one more opportunity to demo it at Musikmesse again. Then perhaps we'll see it in stores - maybe, possibly, perhaps,... but don't count on it!

Best,
Mike

Now why would you read a Korg forum to find the price of a Ketron? It is all speculation. I sincerely doubt Audya will be out of reach.
We'll see.

I don't think the price will be $5,200.00 it will probably be $3,899.00 same as the Euro price. And that's not bad when compared to the similarly priced Korg Pa2xpro and the T2/T3.

Donny, what happened to that gorgeous picture of the Audya that you posted? I enjoyed looking at it.

I asked the Ketron USA sales guys and they said target price $4,000 US.

They know we won't bite at $5,200

$3999.00 would be a good competition price to the new Tyros 3....I would assume both will be out around the same time?

Who'd a thunk that USers would plunk down $4K for a one-finger chord toy. And it ain't even no organ.
