A very Happy New Year to you and your family, Taike.

Any luck with a new keyboard yet?

Thank you, Ian. Getting soaking wet is something I look forward as it's very hot and humid.

I guess another month or two before I make my final decision. Almost there...

Hi Taike, viewed the links with great interest. I have always been fascinated with different cultures and my wife and I were involved in International House in Philadelphia for many years when we lived there. We treasure the many friendships we formed there and feel lucky to have friends of 30 years or more who live around the globe. The growth of this international cyber-community is almost like reliving the very best part of our youth.

All the best to you and your family. BTW, are there any special precautions you need to take to protect electronic gear from all that humidity? Are air conditioners or dehumidifiers fairly common? Just curious.

Chas

PS: Any Habitat for Humanity projects going on over there, that you're aware of? I'll do some checking on this end.

Hey, buddy! I'm ready to work on that other sponsorship now if you still have a candidate/monk. Just let me know via email (amount, address, etc.).

All the best...

HAPPY DAYS TAIKE,
It is hot at my place today also. We have 92.2 degrees F. but our humidity unlike yours is only 22 percent.
Wishing you a great holiday season and best of fortune in each day.

Khop jai, guys. (Thank you)

Chas,
Habitat for Humanity has several projects going on in Laos.
I've never had any problems with electronic gear either in Taiwan (very hot and humid too) or Laos. I had a dehumidifier once but stopped using it as I didn't see the sense of it. Once you open the door you're back to stage one. A floor or ceiling fan will do the trick. Air conditioners are all over Taiwan but less in Laos. But even while living in Taiwan I hardly used mine. A fan will do just fine.

Captain Russ,
Monk Noy will be delighted to hear the good news. Always good to hear from you, my friend.

Bebop,
Thanks for the wishes. Heat's no problem but the high humidity makes it feel twice as hot. But I'm used to it. At least we don't have to worry about heating bills.
Today's temperature: 99F
Humidity: 79%

Zuki,
Thanks, buddy.
You may indeed be right but it won't be until July or August. There are some things I have to take care of first.

Regards

Taike

Thanks, Tony.

Today's the last day of celebrations. I have like half the Mekong dumped on me so far. One more to go! Sure is fun!

Hi Taike,
happy New Year to you & your family.

Found the meaning of star animals quite interesting, though not so sure about the acuracy haahaa.
Hubby & I both ended up being elephants.

best wishes
