A friend (half French) once told me that I have a very good French accent, regardless of me not knowing more than 10 words in French. I was just repeating what she was saying, parrot fashion...

When I was apprenticing in chruch as a teen I had to learn how to sing in Polish. One day I saw the organista just laughing his !@@ as I sang a Polish hymn. When I asked what was wrong, he said I was swearing at the women in Polish, calling them a real bad name. I now just sing in English.
