An embarassing moment - 04/01/08 03:29 PM

Here's one for the books, and it's a true story. Last week I sold a set of Crumar pedals on eBay to a guy in Tennessee. I advertised them as vintage and in very good condition. They sold immediately and I sent them out just as quickly.

This morning I received an email from the buyer saying how dissatisfied he was with the item. It seems that the control face plate - that I quickly reattached with Gorilla Glue before sending it out - stuck to the top of the hinged cover and basically made a mess all over the top of the pedals. Needless to say, I'm refunding the money and he's returning the pedals.

Anyone know how to get Gorilla Glue off of plastic ???

try goo gone,
from the website
"For all those gooey, sticky, gummy, greasy cleaning problems. Removes chewing gum, grease, tar stickers, labels, tape residue, oil, blood, lipstick and mascara, shoe polish, crayon, bumper stickers. Works on carpets, upholstery, clothing, wood, and cement."
works great.

From the Gorilla Glue site: "There are no known solvents for Gorilla Glue.... In most cases. once the Glue is dry, it can only be removed by a chisel, scraper, or sandpaper."

You could try acetone...that works on Super Glue.

Wow, what a story.

WD40 might also work.
