PSR 3000 with the MFC10 (or other foot controller)

I currently have a PSR 3000 with 2 pedals hooked up. There are a couple of things that I have to do while I'm playing that I wish I could do with my feet. Has anyone had experience using a foot controller with the PSR 3000? Does it make things a lot easier? And which one - the MFC10, or a different one?
