Does he need more keyboards or a more hands?
Found this on a tubesurf, thought it is worth sharing.

Ummmm, great tune plus a beautiful, tasteful performance. Obviously could have been done with less keyboards. This is proof that it's not the keyboard but the artist (and the way he uses it). Anybody notice that it sounded just as good (or better) with just the solo piano backing and that the spare, tasteful, and completely compatible arranger backing was only added for mild dramatic effect. Obviously, I really liked this performance.

Wonderful job, no doubt about it. Chas I agree the simple background piano sounded just as the arranger backing work. Always liked that ELP tune.

Thanks for link. The fellow has a great voice and lots of toys.

It was good for me to see this because I questioned myself about taking (2) small arrangers to the job (was it worth the effort?) After this, I'd say NOT!

You've got to admit... to probably most of his audience (most likely not a crowd of arranger players!), they probably take home a MUCH greater impression of his act for being surrounded by keyboards on all sides, twisting and turning to play them all.

Now, WE know he could have done the exact same arrangement on just ONE of those keyboards, but you can bet your life it wouldn't have impressed the audience as much. Sometimes, humping in that extra gear has it's uses...

Very true Diki,

I was thinking the same thing about 2 keyboards.

His Tyros 2 could have done it all for sure.....too "YANNIish" for my taste.

Ahhh Diki, I'm sure more people than me would like to have all those toys at the same time.
Then you don't have to convert styles, just use them as it is. LOL

respect for this guy, but i think singing while playing like that should be a totally useless effort. see around 4:00.
let alone the number of keyboards.
