Hi, i am a new member on this forum. I am from Italy and I am a faithful Ketron user.
Here is my first question (maybe AJ can help me):
considering to change my SD1 for AUDYA (when it will be released), is it possible to convert all the registration done in SD1 in the new machine?
thank You in advance

In the past, when Ketron issued new keyboard, the styles were mostly compatible, but the registrations were not. I suppose Audya will be the same.
Welcome aboard.

Welcome Stich. i know nothing about Ketron boards, but do know that you are very welcome here. I hope you will join in on all the frivolity that goes on here in addition to the serious questions and answers like yours. Good luck.

Thank You Cassp. I just visited Your website, and i'm glad to see that we do the same job. The 95% of my work is on weddings (about 150 per year). I don't know how it goes in the U.S., but here in Italy the "market of weddings" is still strong. I feel very lucky to do a job that is also a great passion.
by the way... great demos on Your web site!

Bye

Welcome! I'm a big fan of Ketron. Started in the 80's playing a Solton Auto Orchestra (bass pedals, with heel/toe mechanisms for minors, maj 7ths etc.) Have 2 14 year old MS 60's that are used 4-6 times a week, and a Midjay.

Am carefully watching Ketron. Not at all happy with direct sales bypassing dealers. The distributor is relatively new.

Want a new one, but not at all comfortable with recent business practices and lack of a track record.

Great equipment, though. Don M is the guy I'd talk to with specific questions.

Welcome!

Hi Stich and welcome

I'm also a big Ketron fan, I keep jumping between Korg and Ketron,

My dad is from Abruzzi (Introdacqua vicina Sulmona)

My mom is from Messina

I play in a Italian wedding band, I'd love to find out what are the popular tunes in Italy.

Thanks

Hi frankieve and thank You
what do You mean by "popular tunes"?
If You mean what are the most played kind of music at weddings i can say that the 1st place is still kept by ballroom styles (walts, tangos etc.). But if You mean in generla "what people like to listen", the italian authors like Vasco Rossi, Eros Ramazzotti etc. are the most requested.
I can say to feel lucky because i have more than 140 weddings per year, and i think that doing a job that is also a passion is not so easy to find.
and of course i have a great partner with me: my Ketron SD1....
bye

Thanks Stich,

We do allot of the standard polkas, tangos, waltzs,

We do some of the newer stuff but I'm not sure which are the more requested ones,

if you have time I would love to know what you suggest in Vasco, Eros, and so forth

and yes the SD1 partner is great,

BTW,

How do you handle your registrations and midi files.

Have you perfected a way to call-up songs?

Thanks
