Conversion program for PSR registrations?

Conversion program for PSR registrations? - 12/09/07 04:48 PM

I would like to convert my current PSR2000 registrations to use with a PSR-S900. I found on this forum that there is a program available but it is on www.svpworld.com
and that site appears to be down for an upgrade. I searched goggle as well but they all pointed to the same site. Would anyone know if this program is available on another site or could someone kindly send it to me? I’m evaluating purchasing the PSR-S900 to replace my aging PSR-2000 and want to see how much work it is going to take to convert my PSR2000 registration to use with the PSR-S900.
Thanks for the help on this a really appreciate it.

Hello:

You will still have to do some adjusting, keep in mind that the Voice and Style Maps in the S900 is much larger than the 2000, besides, if you want to take advantage of the better sounds like the S.A. voices....you must re-adjust your registrations, I did that when I transfer my Tyros2 registrations to the S900...I in deed made adjustments and I am very please, the S900 in my Tyros2 backup.
You will enjoy the S900 even more coming from the 2000,

Hi

You might find a software program at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software.htm or at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/more_software.htm

Thanks for all the replies and help. I could not find the program on any of the sites including SVPWorld after it came back up. I sent sunny email asking for a copy.

For some strange reason, I cannot get anything to work on SVP World. All of my links, forum login, etc.. will not work.

Please note that SVPworld is now available after considerable redesign and move to new servers. If you previously used the forums on SVPworld, you will need to register on the new website as your previous log in details are no longer valid.
The new website is still very much under development, but I hope that the significant upgrades will better serve users.

Many thanks

Re: Conversion program for PSR registrations? - 12/31/07 11:40 AM

This program can't convert PSR2000 (.reg) files to PSR3000 (.rgt) correct? I have installed reg fix and the update and it doesn't look like it supports converting from one file extention type to another.
So I guess if I want to upgrade from a PSR2000 I am SOL as far as converting my existing registrations.
Thanks for all the help on this.
