Thanks for these....I have a gig this weekend for a Hospital. They asked us to play Crazy by Knarles Barcley, I want to be Sedated by the Ramones, Love Potion #9, etc. I'll use these for in-between song banter!!!

Humor is just the way that we come to grips with a world where monsters like these diseases stalk us all. If we can't laugh at them (remember, at least here, we are laughing at the diseases, not the afflicted), we should be cowering in terror...

I have an Autistic son who I love dearly...so dont tell me about what I can or cannot say.....the sickness,conditions & ailments you joke about are bad enough with out the added humor.....maybe if someone in your family or maybe a friend, or a loved one is ever sick you think twice about teasing ...it simply isn't funny.

No-one is telling you what you can and can't say, Donny. It's YOU telling US what we should, and shouldn't find funny...

The next joke you tell, take a listen and see if someone, or something is the butt of it, and then imagine a world where every time you told it, someone scolded you for offending them. Pretty reactionary world, wouldn't it be...?

No-one is making fun of your son. We are making light of horrors that stalk us all. That is what much humor is. And, if you are honest enough about it, you'll admit you do the same thing many times a day (making jokes at SOMETHING'S expense). Probably a quick 'search' through the archives for your name and 'joke' will bring me a stack of your posts with jokes that SOMEONE, somewhere could go 'that's not funny, man...'

Didn't stop you posting it. It was funny. If I make a joke about YOUR autistic son, you've got every right to be offended. Until then, though...
