PSR 2000 permission to edit styles SOLVED - 10/12/01 03:32 AM

Hi,

Thanks to Michael P. Bedesem new software, the PSR 2000 it's able to edit all tracks of all styles.
Thanks a lot to Michael.

Now, the PSR 2000 it's indeed a worth keyboard as it has powerfull features, lot of them configured by the user.

Also there is this problem (unpermission to edit styles, using the keyboard, in tracks 11 to 16) in the 740, 730 and probably in the others PSR(s), for internal styles. I don't know if in 740 ( and others PSR(s), also happen the same in the external styles, eg.: styles from 8000, Roland keyboards or others made with sequencers lake Cakewalk, converted to PSR(s).

In any way with that software the problem is solved, I guess to all PSR(s) styles.

This is the answer of Michael in the site Yamaha-psr-styles:

Subject: Program to set CASM Editable flags to "yes"

There have been several posts about how the "Enable Edit" flag, encoded
for each part in a Casm, controls whether or not you can edit that part
in a PSR. When it is set to "No" (the Yamaha default on all but rhythm
and sub rhythm parts) , the PSR forces you to delete the contents and
enter all data.

To make it easier to change the default enable edit settings, I have
modified the program StyleEdit so that it now will enable editing of all
parts of all sections of a selected style with just one click.

The program (Version 1.2.3) should be available on Simon's site in 2-4
weeks. For those who might want it sooner, I will be happy to email a
copy. If you already have StyleEdit installed, please advise and I will
send just the updated StyleEdit.exe which is approximately 100 kb.
Otherwise, the full package is about 2 mb.

Regards,

Michael
