Printing music scores - 06/11/03 11:30 AM

Hello all,

What programs do you use to print music scores, let's say from a midi file.
I used Cakewalk Sonar but didn't get very good results with it.
Any other recommendations ?

Hi Claude,

I've found Midi Notate:
http://www.notation.com/index.htm

to provide good results, especially with midi files, and it's only $34.95. You can customize it to have the score print out in a choice of different formats suitable to your individual playing/viewing style.

Thanks Scott,
I'll take a closer look at Midi Notate. I was also considering trying "Finale" but they don't seem to have an XP version.

midinotate as Scott suggested makes a good print out. Another option is BIAB who's printout outperforms even Cakewalk or Cubase.
Both the above programs are very good for auto finding all chords of any midi file.

Demo downloads are available for both www.midinotate.com www.pgmusic.com
