Help with midi files - 10/19/01 02:27 PM

Hello:
I use the KN6500 with home recordings. Along with its auto features, I often play along with midi files. As you're aware, many of the files from the web need considerable editing to suit one's tastes. I've found it laborious and somewhat difficult to edit files on the keyboard itself. For those who work with midi files, what would you recommend in a simple, easy-to-use software program (Windows 98) that would allow editing of volume levels, panning, instrument selection, etc. then resaving of the edited file? I'm a novice at the computer part, so the program must not be complicated to learn. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Ditto on the positive remarks on PG Music's PowerTracks. I'm always downloading midis and "fixing" them with PT. At $29 your getting much more than you're paying for... and it's definitely user friendly.
