Roland VA-7 Menus

Roland VA-7 Menus - 11/02/00 12:41 PM

I presently have a Roland E-500 and like the logicial arrangement of the menus. I did not buy a EM-2000 because the logic of the menu system was simply too complex for my tastes. How does the VA-7 rate in this regard?

Hi Calvin,
The VA-7 is very logical setup.
Thanks to the touch-sensitive screen, it is very easy to navigate from one menu to another. My former keyboard was the EM2000, and if you compare that one to the VA-7 then you would be suprised how easy it is.
While the EM-2000 took me a year to master, the VA-7 took me about 1 month.
Go and try one at the store.
I'm shure you'll be amazed !

Dear Calvin,
I've a Roland VA7 (I'm an italian musician) and I'm very satisfied of it! I can say you that it took me only two weeks to check and understand almost all keyboard features. It's very logical and I love touch screen very much!! Have a try by yourself and enjoy VA7...!!

The only problem of the VA-7 is that they put also very significant functions in the menu instead of on the keyboard itself.
The should have learned from the Korg i30.

...may be they want to avoid too many buttons that can create confusion in the name of an "easy to use" keyboard (all controlled by touch-screen)...??

...'easy to use' doesn't mean 'as less button's as possible'...
