ok, you people are not checking this out, or i would have had several comments by now. here are the lyrics, as i understand them.
even now
the world is bleeding
but feeling just fine
all numb in a castle
where you're always free to choose
never free enough to find
i wish somthing would break
cus we're running out of time

and i am overcome
i am overcome
holy water in my lungs
i am overcome

these women in the streets
pulling out there hair
my master's in the yard
giving light to the unaware
this plastic little place
is just a step amungst the stairs

and i am overcome
i am overcome
holy water in my lungs
i am overcome

so drive me out
out to that open feild
turn the ignition off
and spin around
your help is here
but i'm parked in an open space
but locking the gates of love

and i am over come
i am over come
holy water in my lungs
beutiful drowning
i am avercome

Well, the video pictures are certainly moving, as was the entire news broadcast since the event, but....sorry - the song doesn't do a thing for me. Any idea if it was written just for this, or is it an older tune? The "holy water in my lungs" line kinda urks me.
I've heard radio versions of "Fire & Rain" with news comentary over top.... that was more to my liking.
I admit my tastes are more classic than rock, and I'm sure some will disagree, but if that video brings comfort to anyone, then it's worthwhile.

hi Uncle Dave, i don't know if the song is event specific. i have not heard it before, but then again i have not had the time to check out there latest effort. i do know that they are going to release it as a single with proceeds to go towards this tragedy.

It's a wonderful idea.
