KORG PA50 (???)

KORG PA50 (???) - 10/28/03 12:00 AM

I've got an e-mail from a guy (girl?) from Asia (Malaysia maybe), asking me for an help in OS installing for his Pa50.

So I told him that maybe he mistyped his board name, and he probably owns a Pa60.

Here is his answer:

...I am very sure that I bought KORG PA 50.. according to my supplier ART TUNE MALAYSIA PTE LTD, this model is a new release.. The features are quite the same as PA 60 but the only difference is PA 50 does not come with Hard Disk drive.. On the carton box it is written Made in China.. I think this is a cheaper version on KORG PA series.. it only cost me USD 868.00.

I am more worried now, thinking.. may be this is a clone product.. but in the manual it stated that support could be obtained through www.korgpa.com but i cant find such model in the web site...

Can you please assist me... if this product is really not in the market, I will return to my supplier and exchange for PA 60...

Has anybody heard about this? Has KORG changed their board name for that market?

Ok, here is the answer.

Pa50 is a new KORG product, presented at the Music China Fair (Shangai, 15-18 october 2003).

Music China Fair is the asian counterpart of Frankfurt Messe.

On 16 october 2003, in room 2000 at INTEX Shangai, KORG demonstrated their new products (PA50 and PA1XPro).

Go to http://www.messefrankfurt.com.hk/musicchina.asp for details.

Hoping that KORG will let us know something more....

Ok, KORG Italy told me that they simply changed the board name... so PA50 is chinese name for PA60.
