Yamaha Electone Organ - 08/25/03 01:32 PM

I just got this dinosaur from my dad's friend. I wasn't working before until I fixed it. It working perfectly now. I know it's hard but does anybody here got some information on how to design a midi retrofit so that I can connect all my sound modules using midi?

Thanks,
Dan

For people to give a reply, you really require to give the model number.

there is the odd company that do retrofit midi kits for older organs.

Thanks for the reply. The model number is 115D. That model is not in the museum.

Dan,

Checkout this page and go down to the "MIDI Organ Control" section.

Most of the MIDI kits require a spare key contact, which you probably don't have. MIDI9/Gulbransen uses their own optical key sensors that can be added to almost any organ and even adds velocity sensing. However, it costs a lot more than the other kits.
