I think this will work[with a max of 2 gigs]...
What do you all think..?

I think I can mount this internally and still have my Zip drive and external scsi interface..
If I have to install any drivers...it would be a lost cause..

Fran,

Would this replace the floppy drive? Looks like it would work and there is no additional drive required to run the system.

Gary, I want to retain the floppy drive as well as the Zip drive..I want to connect this flash drive to the scsi ribbon internally[there is room]..Hopefully t will read as another scsi device with it's own ID.
I need to retain access via scsi port on the rear of the G1000...data has to be loaded with software[from a computer], Roland Data Base Manager...
I do this with my other scsi devices[external Zip and Jazz drives].

I am pretty sure it will work....

Another option is a 2.5" SCSI hard drive..formatted with RDBM..

I Have a scsi cd burner hooked up to my psr9000. It is only write but it sure adds a lot of storage to the small hard drive that is in the keyboard.

Fran,

The Adtron S25FA-2GC01 goes for $1146 per unit (with low qty). Lead time for this drive is approximately 4 weeks.

Thanks,
-Eric.

Eric, for this trial installation, I need a single unit[fixed]..The Keyboard will only read up to 2 gigs, so a small capacity will do.. Thank you for your response, Fran

Fran,

How many units are you looking for and what capacity do you need?

The SCSI Zip drive is removable storage. Are you looking for a removable device or a fixed device?

Thanks,
-Eric

How can I get a price on the SCSI 2.5" flash drive?

I would like to install it in a musical keyboard that uses a SCSI Zip drive currently...Should this work without the need of other drivers?

Thank you Fran Carang

I think I'm gonna pass on this idea...too costly, though a great idea...back to the drawing table!

Fran, just junk that relic and get a real keyboard. In fact why don't you give it to Boo they are both about the same age.
