AJ.....OS Upgrade X-1

Do you know if any OS upgrades are planned for the X-1? If so, do you know when and what enhancements are planned?

To Ketron & AJ:
I wish if you guys consider the existing problem in X1 oriental while writing the new O.S.
2 devices are currently using the same 15 pins port: The FS13 footswitch and the Oriental Scale converter box. You can’t use both at the same time.
Can anybody look into that?

When using the FS13, it currently communicates with the units using all pins of the connector port (15). However, using the FS6, only a certain number of connectors are used. It might be possible to have an adaptor that could enable you to use both the FS6 and the Oriental Scale converter box (or other external controller devices). We will look more closely at this possibility.

First of all, thank you for your prompt reply. Even with the FS6, I don’t think you can do it. Try to get an X1 O.S. [ORIENTAL] version 4.0 and enable the Scale box from page 2 of the Utility menu, when you go back to the 1st page in Utilities, you’ll find the footswitch button (feature) disappeared (For both FS13 & FS6) !!
Which means that the port could only be assigned to ONE device at a time.
You can only have either/or device. I think Ketron should have used another port for the scale converter that is not used during the normal X1 use (The computer interface port for example).
I really wish if you can look into that while wriing the new Oriental O.S. Please let me know if I can be of any help.

AJ, Maged's last comment of "GREAT" is an understatement, its beyong any good words that I know to describe this...this is like us being part of the Ketron team.
