Technics or Korg? - 03/08/01 12:53 PM
Hello friends, I am new in this forum. I'm going to buy an arranger jeyboard. I have seen KN-6000 and Yamaha PSR9000, they are the best, but they are too much money for me.
So, probably I will choose between TECHNICS KN-5000 and KORG PA-80. Technics seems nice and easy of use, Korg has better sounds and more modern.
I doubt... someone may help me?

Hi Karl
All four keyboards you mention are excellent keyboards. I think the Technics KN-5000 is the only one lacking Vocal Harmony, which is nice if you sing.

go for the PA-80 because it kinda contains new sounds and manly TRITON's engine "HI".

They are selling Yamaha PSR 740's on eBay in bulk for $825 (plus necessary AC adapter). Music123.com sells the adapter and footpedal (Survival Kit) for $25. The PSR 740 has almost all the sounds and almost all of the styles of the PSR 9000. The PSR 9000 has many features that make it a superior keyboard, but you can get so much for $850, I think it's incredible. And the PSR 740 has a vocalizer. The Korg has the vocalizer as an option. The PSR 740 has more drum fills per style than the Korg.
