PSR2000 Banks - 08/24/03 01:37 AM

Hi There,

I wonder if someone can help me. I have just purchased a Yamaha PSR2000 keyboard and was wanting to put 8 Registrations on to the one bank and save it to floppy. I have already saved 8 Registrations on to a floppy but I want to know how to put these as One Bank. Thanks in advance.

Wheelie.

Wheelie,
Congratulations on your new keyboard. Now that you have that 2000, you will need to bookmark http://psrtutorial.com .
You will find the answer to your question there. There is a whole section on registrations along with sample registrations.
http://psrtutorial.com/Lessons/L_Personalizing/LP_Registrations/lp_registrations.html

There is also a whole section on the PSR file system to help you better understand the different kinds of files the PSR recognizes and how you can manipulate them.
http://psrtutorial.com/Lessons/L_FileTypes/l_filetypes.html

The 2000, like many keyboards, is a very powerful machine with lots of capability. It will take a long time to really master all the things you'd like to do. But, there's no rush. You can take it just one lesson at a time.

By the way, while the lessons can be very useful, the most visited pages are those that will increase your style library and the PSR Performer's pages where you'll find over 1,000 midi files, most of which were recorded on that very same keyboard you just purchased.

Wheelie

Joe's PSR Tutorial site is undoubtably THE best place on the web for information about your new 2000.
If you'd like to hang out with some other PSR owners and increase your style collection go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yamaha-psr-styles/
If you'd like to hear what others are playing on there PSR's or would like to share some of your songs go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yamaha-psr-songs/
Another site/forum not to be missed is http://www.svpworld.com/forum/

Hope to see you there

Hi Will,

Thanks for the sites but I have been on them and I get a lot of mail from PSR@Yahoo but I'm always willing to look and listen. I played guitar for 40 years and found the keyboard very easy to play the chords. I'm a 50/60's man and I have read up on your profile at PSRTutorial Performers which I joined after I found the site. I don't gig, I'm a home user. I find the PSR2000 a bit difficult to manage as I've just came off a Roland EM2000 but I know it will come through time. Thanks for replying to my mail and hope to talk to you soon.

Wheelie.
