Some Korg PA800 Questions - 10/27/07 05:55 AM

Hi

If I play midifiles on my Korg PA800, how can I turn off the keys so no-one can play them while the midi is playing?

Also, and I haven't done this yet, if I plug the keyboard into an external amp, how do I turn-off the internal speakers?

Thanks guys, maybe easy answers for you but I'm new to the KPA800

Assumming it's like the PA1x (and most other keyboards) turn off local control (global-midi-local control).

while the SMF is playing just use one of the the ONBOARD assignable sliders to turn down the keboard Vol.

To shut the speakers go to Media>Audio & click speakers off....simple.

Thought there might be an easier (and safer ) as per Roland.

Thanks also for the info regarding turning off speakers, I appreciate that.

Apologies for not making myself clearer. When I read 'assignable' I meant, how do you assign the sliders on the PA800?

Thanks again for your help.

No assignment is nessesary. The second master slider is preset to BALANCE. In the top position, the RH/KB parts are 100% .. in the bottom position, the Acc/Seq is 100% ........ you make the proper blend as the needs arise!

Rundog there is an edit page that allows you to ASSIGN so many features to either the sliders or to the buttons with ease as you also can do to the EC5 pedal assignments also......its a snap to do.
Then you can have the pa800 set up for your personal configuration and comfort.

Your very welcome ......

The PA800 does many things no other arranger can do....jealous brainwashed Yamaha Korg bashers will try to steer you wrong for sure....try one for yourself and dig deep you'll be surprised what you find in the PA800.
