GEM keyboards NAMM - 07/25/01 07:56 AM

General Music is going to have WK6 keyboards dedicated to Latin Music and Praise Music in the near future . They are incorporating "live drums " within the patterns as well .
They also have plans for a new higher end keyboard that is being planned for release in January ! Dan o
PS...It is always a pleasure to see Chris Anthony from General Music ( GEM product specialist / engineer). He is a "Monster of a player " and great person to know .

Hi Dan,
Any news on any new "oriental" models like
a "PK-7 Oriental", and "WK-2 Iranian"?
Thanks.

Thanks for the news. Bring those new machines and put in them everything. And do not take from them anything other than "funk and Disco styles." Who plays those?

Yes .....GEM will have an Oriental keyboard .
I believe that Ketron will have an oriental version for the SD1 as well . Dano

Re: GEM keyboards NAMM - 07/26/01 09:08 AM

Gem currently has 5 oriental models.
PK5oriental
WK2oriental
WK6oriental
WK8oriental
and the WK2arranger (module)oriental
They have released in the Middle East the WK2Iranian which includes a few more styles (Iranian) and one or two more sounds. They will be offering this in the US soon.
There will not be a PK7oriental because GEM has discontinued the PK series except for the PK5oriental.

Will Ketron have a module version of the
SD-1(eg.,SD-4) like the X1 has? And, if it
will, will there also be an "oriental"module?
Thanks

George,
do you mean the Normal WK8OR or the WK8SEOR?, I thought Gem discontinued the WK8'S.
