OTS again!

OTS again! - 07/24/05 09:02 AM

I've tried the tutorial section, but still need help. My Reg banks are empty. When I register my first file, I try to register an OTS with it and it says "not enough free space".. any suggestions?
Thanks,
zuki

Their is one memory bank. The OTS, User Styles, Sounds and midi files all use the same memory.
The 3000 and Tyros OTS is part of the style and must be saved with the style, if I recall correctly. On the older models the OTS was saved by itself.
You may have to delete some of the other "stuff" to make room.

Zuki,

You have too much stuff in the keyboard's onboard memory, cut and past all the midi files to USB thumb drive, or the SMartmedia Card and you should have sufficient space to make a monster MFD. Keep in mind, however, the MFD is also limited to the number of files it can hold. If I recall correctly, that figure is approximately 2250 files.

Thanks guys. I thought that I could save 8 registration memory banks each in 8 separate FOLDERS (64 onboard total), but still can't figure it out. I must be stupid, I can't grasp it. The book doesn't explain much.

Thanks Gary,
I'll take you up on that in a day or so. I did get the hang of it, but lost all my styles associated with the register-frustrating. I tried using the Yammy disk and usb hookup, got a computer connection, but couldn't get anything to my keyboard. Oh well, not for the faint of heart - sooner or later.
